REUNITED.

So i finally found it; Death In Junes 1999 album "Operation Hummingbird", i had this on my ipod some 4-5 years ago and i remember beeing hypnotized by it´s eerie and occult sound.

Sadly, that ipod crashed and the album was gone, but today i found it again and it´s the same experience; cinematic sounds smelling heavily of napalm and witchcraft, depraved mumbling vocals and a general sense of madness; a nasty dengue fever dream of vietnam.

If Rihanna was thrashed off cheap red wine and painkillers, whilst Salem on anti-depressives produced it, maybe it would sound like this.

But this is not the result of a cool party in a studio, it´s Rory Kane with the vocal helpings of Nika Roza Danilova.
Autotune, massive bass, ecstatic synths and some good ol pop sensibility makes this song a favourite of the month and perhaps even year, who knows.

It´s time again... After 17 years of wait comes the third installment of the legendary japanese cyber-punk film series by director Shinya Tsukamoto. The first to be filmed in english language, which bothers me a whole lot to be honest. Tsukamoto-san going abroad to make great succes uh? Not likely I think, but still pretty exciting stuff.

The plot goes like this: "An american named Antony is living and working in Tokyo and married to a japanese woman. When their son is killed by the same driver who creates the Tetsuos in the previous films, he makes the transformation into Tetsuo."

Hell yeah!

Vår gemensamma intention med Svartbar är att kombinera en genuin och hemtrevlig kvarterskrogkänsla med nyskapande, oberoende och intressant konst och musik, en bar där oliksinnade och gamla bekanta kan träffas och ta en pilsner eller två, beskåda olika projekt inom vitt skilda medier och uttrycksformer, lyssna till ljuva bakgrundsrytmer, dansa till mekaniska melodier och bara ha det trevligt tillsammans eller på egen hand.
Svartkonst kommer att ansvara för dom olika utställingarna/installationerna, Herrskapet kommer finnas bakom skivspelarna/ute på dansgolvet, och Sjöhästens eminenta personal botar din törst.
