Yet again, Air France seems incapable of not living up to my unreasonably high expactations with this rework of britpoppersFriendly Fires song "Skeleton Boy".

None needs to be justified, it´s Swedish pop perfection up there with Studios rework of "Impossible", Ace Of Base early work and the scattered gems of Lustans Lakejer.

In my opinion, sometimes it feels like one of the best ways to find new music is to not pay attention to it when it is getting the most buzz, to not get influenced by the words and opinions of the media or people around you, and discover it at ease some time later.

There is thousands and thousands of new songs being released every month, and it is all pretty much at your fingertips, so if you try to stay à jour with everything and not properly hear out to the things you are listening to, perhaps lots of great music might pass you by.
Of course alot things released might just not be your cup of tea, or it might just be rubbish, but just like most great art, food and possibly even sex, it grows if you just give it a little extra time and attention, once you have sorted out the bits that don´t fit.

Or perhaps the time and occasion is just not right, and you need to pick it up later to fully appriciate it.

Anywho, this way the case with Swedish outfit Fibes, Oh Fibes for me.
They caused quite the commotion with their 2004 debut album "Still Fresh", and then again with the follow up "Emotional" in 2006, the two together generating a bunch of nominations, extensive airplay and lots of touring for the band.

This all passed my by really, until the other day when i fell asleep with Fever Ray playing and woke up to this grand, soulfilled soft-rock coming out of my computer.
Appearently, i´ve had both the albums for a long time, but never really listened and payed respect to them, but damn i was drawn in now.

The uptempo bits have fantastic rythms, grooves and vocal outbursts, and the slower ballads showcase great emotion drenched in piano and strings, making it sound just as great as it feels.

So, i hope it feels great for you too.

It may be two weeks left or something, but holy shit if this is not the best thing to happen since the Richie Hawtin afterparty in Hammarby sjöstad.

On the 6th of March, the best band in the world Embassy will play Strand in Stockholm, and we are each given this rare opportunity to drink 3 litres of wine, pull moves on all the wrong people, slur about brighter tomorrows and watch this truly essential act take the stage.

And if this for some reason should not be enough to go down in split, Matt Didemus from Junior Boys will be behind the decks.

Efter att Kim postade Junior Boys helt fantastiska nya låt igår kände jag mig uppmanad att dra fram en räv ur skivbacken. Carl Craigs remix på Junior Boys stänkare Like A Child. Det är ta mig fan en av mina absoluta favorit låtar, alla kategorier. Den figurerar på Dead Horse EP från 2007 som är en remix-skiva på deras andra fullängdare So This Is Goodbye som släpptes 2006 på Domino. Carl Craigs arbete är fruktansvärt snyggt och välproducerat och samtidigt som den är mörk, mystisk, sorgsen är den dansat. Så varsågod, nu kan ni både dansa och vara emo till en och samma låt.

Got a random tip about this, Swedish synth-pop act Page, and im very glad i looked them up.

This song below is the original mix version from 1986, and when i first heard it i felt like i stumbled upon something rare;
simplistic, sincere and youthfully naive, with dramatic melodies and echoing drums, showcasing emotions that almost feel like they only existed during that certain stretch of time.

The music is quite hard to get a hold of, but i assure you its well worth the effort.

Here is something for your snowy day, the music of Krok, Pelle Hellstöm aka Nordpolens older brother.

Simplyfied yet complex techno-like music with grand emotions mixed up in the rattling base, altogether creating a thick and melancolic soundscape.

Its very, very good, but i could not find any MP3s, nor have i recieved any answer when i tried to contact him via mail, so what you can do for now is go to his myspace and listen to the brilliant track "My Little Lollipop" amongst others, and maybe write him an email to encourage a release sometime soon?

Hi everyone! 

Since I´m new here on HRRSKPT I would like to take the opportunity to share some of my favourite songs to you during the following days/weeks. We´ll start off with the legendary Spacemen 3 and the mind-melting track Suicide from their album Playing with fire from 1989. 

As a bonus track on this very special day I´ll also post a song by the swedish noise-kraut-pop group Pistol Disco. This track is from their superb album Radiation released in 2007. You can easily hear that they are heavily inluenced by the Spacemen. Other influences might be Jesus & mary chain... Add to that a Neu rythm section and there you got it. Pure!

Secondly, we would like to comment on the short interview published on t-shirtstores webspace:

This interview only reflects specific views and background regarding Kims graphical work, and it may give off the impression that Herrskapet only consists of him and that isolated area alone.
This is not the case, since Herrskapet is really only a vague platform for a small group of people to express themselves on and through, a label of sorts if you like, that we can put on things that we feel represents us as members of this "group", regardless if we made them ourselves or not.
Its just us, and what we do, what we like and things that caught our attention.
