Gallery SteinslandBerliner is proud to announce the first solo exhibition in Scandinavia of Emmeline de Mooij.
Emmeline de Mooij is an artist based in Amsterdam, she makes installations, performances and photographs. Her installations consist of everyday materials such as clothes and utensils. Her photographs characterize themselves by the unconventional approach of the medium; they balance between documentary and performance. de Mooij's work refers to primitive shelters, the rituals of native people, refugees, the homeless with plastic bags, and badly equipped tourists with rucksacks. In this, she easily maneuvers between the prehistory and the products of the modern world.
In conjunction with the opening Museum Paper will celebrate their first book release:

"Bush Compulsion - A Primitive Breakthrough in the Modern Mind".
Signed and numbered edition of 300.
The book will be for sale at the opening and during the exhibition.
